About Me

Hi! I’m Alyssa, the instructor behind Little Aqua Explorers. I have several years of experience working with children and am a certified lifeguard and swim instructor with CPR and AED certification. Safety is always my top priority, and I’m passionate about helping kids feel confident and comfortable in the water.

Swimming has always been an important part of my life, and I truly believe every child deserves the opportunity to learn how to swim safely and enjoy the fun and freedom that the water can bring.

My lessons focus on water safety, survival swimming, and situational drills so children know what to do if they ever find themselves in an unexpected water situation. These skills are introduced in age-appropriate ways for all swimmers to help build real confidence and awareness in the water.

Through my experience studying mental health and working as a Direct Support Professional, I’ve developed strong patience and communication skills that help me connect with each child individually. I’m especially experienced working with children who feel nervous or afraid of the water and focus on creating a calm, supportive environment where they can build confidence at their own pace.

I believe swim lessons should be fun, engaging, and empowering. By combining skill-building with encouragement and positive experiences in the water, many families see confidence grow and progress happen quickly.

At Little Aqua Explorers, my goal is simple: helping every child feel safe, capable, and confident in the water—building confidence, one swim at a time.
